“The World of Space and Kazakh Cosmonauts”

On April 12 — in honor of the International Day of Cosmonautics, the library staff of the Kyzylorda Polytechnic Higher College named after Isatay Abdykarimov organized an educational event titled “The World of Space and Kazakh Cosmonauts.”The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the first Kazakh cosmonaut, Toktar Aubakirov, and the 75th anniversary of the experienced cosmonaut Talgat Musabayev.The purpose of the event was to provide students with comprehensive information about the world of space, to promote the achievements of Kazakh cosmonauts, and to increase young people's interest in science.First-year students of the “Development of Mineral Deposits and Digital Technologies” department took part in the event under the guidance of group supervisor G. Baidildayeva.During the event, participants were presented with informative materials about the life paths of cosmonauts, the history of their space flights, and their scientific achievements. In addition, interesting videos about cosmonauts were shown, which made a strong impression on the participants. A special exhibition titled “The Cosmonaut’s Bookshelf” was also introduced, featuring books, encyclopedias, and educational materials on space topics.Throughout the event, students were active, answered quiz questions related to space, and demonstrated their knowledge. They also expressively recited poems dedicated to cosmonauts, which enhanced the atmosphere of the event.At the end of the event, students gained new knowledge about the world of space and expanded their understanding of the lives and work of Kazakh cosmonauts.
