“RAISING A GENERATION IS A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY: PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN COLLEGE AND FAMILY”

At the Kyzylorda Higher Polytechnic College named after I. Abdukari­mov, within the “Field Development and Digital Technologies” department, an important meeting was held with the parents of first-year students. The informative gathering was dedicated to family values and youth upbringing.The meeting was opened by the head of the department, Nur Masharapuly, who emphasized the importance of parental responsibility in raising children. In his speech, he noted: “A child’s discipline and responsibility are first and foremost formed in the family — in their golden cradle. Our common goal is not only to provide quality education, but also to raise a conscious and hardworking generation,” highlighting the importance of close cooperation between family and college.During the meeting, the following key issues were discussed:Results of the academic year and examinations: in connection with the completion of the 2025–2026 academic year, special attention was given to the timely and successful completion of summer exams by students, as well as monitoring attendance and academic preparation.“Clean Kazakhstan” campaign and labor education: the importance of the nationwide environmental campaign was emphasized, as well as students’ participation in clean-up activities and maintaining cleanliness of the campus. It was noted that fostering a work ethic and caring for the environment are essential foundations of education.Effective use of free time: the importance of students participating in sports clubs and professional competitions during the summer holidays was explained, as these activities help develop interest in their future profession.Prevention of misconduct and safety: a college security officer provided explanations on safety measures during the summer period, rules for preventing misconduct, and the importance of ensuring that teenagers do not stay outside late at night.At the end of the meeting, the head of the department and the security officer answered parents’ questions in detail, and an open exchange of opinions took place.We express our gratitude to all parents who actively participated in the meeting and showed concern for the future of their children!Education begins in the family and continues through learning!
