LIBRARY – A PLACE OF KNOWLEDGE

An «Open Day» was held at the college library for first-year students.The purpose of the event was to familiarize students with the structure and activities of the library, teach them how to use library resources effectively, and develop a culture of reading.The event was attended by first-year students from the «Polytechnic Specialties», «Energy» and «Agricultural Specialties» departments, as well as group supervisors Maihanova K., Zhumagulova A. and A. Rakhimova.During the event, first-year students were registered at the library, and an individual reader's record was opened for each student. The students were informed about the library registration procedure and the rules for using and preserving books.In addition, an educational tour of the library was organized for the students. During the tour, they were introduced to each section of the library, its main functions and areas of activity. The students learned about the lending department, reading room, book collection, information resources and electronic databases.The library staff demonstrated how to search for the necessary literature, use the library collection and access electronic information resources.During the «Open Day», the students received comprehensive information about the library's opportunities and answers to their questions.The library is always open to students.
