Important seminar held

On May 29, 2026, an important seminar entitled “Enhancing Farm Efficiency Through the Integrated Use of Groundwater and Surface Water Resources” was held at Kyzylorda Polytechnic Higher College named after Isatay Abdukarimov, commissioned by the National Agrarian Scientific and Educational Center. The seminar was organized to support farmers and facilitate the exchange of professional experience.A total of 30 farmers and individual entrepreneurs from different districts of the Kyzylorda region participated in the event. During the seminar, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Professor Abaybek Talgatuly Zhunisov delivered an informative lecture on the efficient use of water resources, modern agricultural practices, and ways to improve the productivity of farming enterprises.The practical part of the seminar was conducted at the facilities of the social partner, the Ybyrai Zhakhaev Kazakh Research Institute of Rice Growing. Participants were introduced to innovative agricultural technologies and their practical application in farming operations.In addition, the seminar addressed the main challenges facing modern agriculture, as well as the effectiveness and economic benefits of new technologies. These topics were explained through real-life examples and practical case studies.As part of the event, participants were shown modern water-saving methods and digitalization systems, along with the operating principles of “Smart Wells” based on IoT (Internet of Things) technology. Special attention was given to their importance in agriculture and their role in improving water resource management and efficiency.The seminar served as an important platform for knowledge sharing between industry specialists and farmers and contributed to the promotion of modern agrotechnologies and innovative solutions in the agricultural sector.
