A day that inspired the students of the I. Abdykarimov Kyzylorda Polytechnic Higher College!At our college, a professional guest lecture was delivered for students of the specialty 07320700 “Construction and Operation of Highways and Airfields” (qualification: technician-builder) on the topic: “The Life Cycle of a Highway: From Design to Operation.”
PURPOSE OF THE LECTURE:
To develop a systematic understanding of all stages of the highway life cycle (design, construction, operation, maintenance, and reconstruction) and to explain their interconnection.
OBJECTIVES:
– To explain the structure and main elements of a highway;
– To examine the content and importance of the design stage;
– To describe the main technological processes of road construction;
– To explain maintenance and safety measures during operation;
– To analyze the causes of road wear and service life;
– To distinguish between types of repair and reconstruction;
– To consider environmental aspects of the road sector;
– To introduce modern technologies and innovations.
The lecture was delivered by Zhasulan Makhambetovich Kerimkulov, Director of the Kyzylorda Regional Branch of JSC “NC KazAvtoZhol.”The event was also attended by the Deputy Director for Academic and Industrial Affairs, Magripa Makhmutovna Aitenova, and instructors of specialized disciplines.During the lecture, students gained comprehensive insights into their future profession.
