Within the framework of the republican campaign “One Country – One Book 2026,” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Kazakh writer Kabdesh Zhumadilov, his novel “Fate” was selected for nationwide reading. The annual republican campaign “One Country – One Book” is an important cultural project aimed at promoting national literature in Kazakhstan.In this regard, a readers’ conference based on Kabdesh Zhumadilov’s novel “Fate – An Artistic Chronicle of National History” was organized by the library staff of the Kyzylorda Higher Polytechnic College named after I. Abdukarimov. First-year students took part in the event.The purpose of the event was to introduce students to the writer’s literary work, increase their interest in reading, and widely promote the content of the novel “Fate.”During the conference, participants analyzed the novel chapter by chapter, focusing on its historical and educational significance. They discussed historical events, the character of Demezhan, and the fate of the people, sharing their own interpretations and providing a comprehensive analysis of the work. Students actively participated and presented the content of the novel in an engaging manner.As part of the event, a book exhibition titled “Let’s Read the Year’s Choice Together!” was organized. The exhibition featured works by Kabdesh Zhumadilov, various editions of the novel “Fate,” and information about the author. A special guided review of the exhibition was provided to participants.In addition, a video presentation based on the novel “Fate” was shown during the conference. The video highlighted the main events of the novel, historical periods, and the characters portrayed in the work.
