A commemorative event dedicated to the memory of Isatai Abdikarimov was held

15 May — a meaningful and historically significant day for the Kyzylorda Higher Polytechnic College named after Isatai Abdikarimov. Today, a commemorative event dedicated to the memory of statesman and public figure, Hero of Socialist Labour, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, and outstanding son of the Syr Darya region — Isatai Abdikarimov — was held at our college. During the event, the college director, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor Abaybek Talgatuly Zhunusov, college veterans, and honored guests delivered speeches and shared memories about the exemplary life of this prominent personality. Students also recited dedicated poems and paid tribute to the bright image of Isatai Abdikarimov. Isatai Abdikarimov was a distinguished statesman who always placed the interests of the nation above all else. He made a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the Kyzylorda region, particularly in agriculture, rice production, education, and culture. On his initiative, several production facilities and educational institutions were established, giving strong momentum to the region’s development. Due to his professionalism, he rose to the position of Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan. His youth, marked by courage and resilience, serves as a great example for the younger generation. During the Great Patriotic War, he demonstrated heroism on the battlefield, bravely defending his homeland. In the difficult post-war years, he also actively contributed to the country’s recovery and development. As part of the event, college staff, veterans, honored guests, and students laid flowers at the monument of Isatai Abdikarimov, expressing deep respect for his memory. During the meaningful gathering, his achievements, life path, and noble human qualities were widely highlighted. Today, the name of Isatai Abdikarimov has become a symbol of honest labor and service to the nation. Promoting the life path of such historical figures is one of the most important values in educating the younger generation.
